Rules and Guidelines
Video Topic: What civil liberties issue should the next president address first?
Video Length: No longer than 3 minutes. Videos longer than 3 minutes will not be reviewed.
Submission: All contest videos should be uploaded to YouTube. Then, register for the contest using the "Register" button to the left and give us the URL of your video submission. We will not review any videos emailed directly, or sent via mail.
Deadline: Submit videos no later than Friday, October 31st at 5pm.
Prizes:
First Prize: 8 GB iPod Touch, 1 year ACLU membership. The winning video will be shown at the 2009 ACLU of Illinois Member Conference in Bloomington, IL.
Second Prize (2): $50 gift cards to iTunes online gift store. 1 year ACLU membership.
Honorable Mention (5): ACLU tshirt. 1 year ACLU membership.
Judging Criteria (in order of importance):

Demonstrated understanding of the Constitution, Bill of Rights and/or civil liberties -
Creativity of presentation -
Technical skill of video filming and editing
The contest, sponsored by the ACLU of Illinois, is for Illinois students, grades 9-12. Submissions must be made via the online registration form. By entering the contest, students grant the ACLU of Illinois the right to use, edit, reproduce, display or publish the submitted video.
All judging decisions are final.
